Job Title: Senior Production Line Lead
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Function:
The Senior Line Lead: responsibilities include: Assisting Production Supervisor and Production Managers to ensure that the production lines are operating efficiently. Helps in leading team to work with a safety culture and manufactures with good food safety practices.

Positions that Report to you: Production Workers/Line Lead 1 – 2
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Production Supervisor/Production Managers in planning for the production shifts.
Performs duties in compliance with safety rules, standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.
Ensure line is set up and functional for daily production.
Organizes change-over from one product line to another to minimize downtime and maximize production time.
Creates a work environment that reflects a commitment to protecting the health and safety of employees, food safety and quality of products.
Uphold that all policies, quality processes and procedures are followed.
Responsible to meet recipe, and build standards to assure the best quality product is produced.
Ensure employees are following all food safety and personal safety rules during shift.
Maintain product is produced/packaged according to specifications to assure quality.
Maintain production goals are met or exceeded on a daily basis.
Able to use and assemble the equipment on your multiple lines assigned.
Report equipment breakdowns/malfunctions to Production Supervisor/Manager in timely manner.
Mentor and train current and new personnel.
Make suggestions for improvements.
Work with all departments to flex labor and ensure all the production is complete by days end.
Oversee waste control, production processes, line efficiency, downtime tracking, attendance and employee scheduling.
Implements and drives, Lean culture, quick change over studies and implementation, and waste management.
Works in conjunction with Manager/Supervisor to ensure cleanliness/sanitation of all production areas.
Other tasks assigned.
Must understand all manufacturing terms including: KPI, 5S, GMP, CI.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with Production Supervisor.
Ensure minute by minute downtime information is collected, ensure attendance is taken and discuss with manager scheduling issues.
Ensure OSHA standards are followed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages and have basic computer skills.
Understand the need for and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to adapt to changes throughout daily operation.
Lean manufacturing experience is a plus
Calculate Line efficiency.
Metric sheets/units per minute

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in managing others, preferably in a high speed production environment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to physically perform light work exerting up to 50-pounds of force occasionally.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20-inches to more than 20-feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
The duties of this position are performed mostly on the plant floor with some office duties.
Frequent deadlines exist while handling multiple tasks.
Daily contact occurs with employees and office personnel.
Work environment will be mostly in refrigerated areas working with perishable products.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Machinery to help on the production floor, occasional use of tools, knives. 2-way radio, computer, tablet copier, and phone.
