JOB SUMMARY

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in office if living within a 50 mile radius of a hub office located in PA, WV, DE or NY

This job is part of the Product and Health Experience team and will be a champion for the research- and design-driven and human-centered methods. Our Research and Design Organization exists to gain a deep understanding of the human behaviors, challenges, needs, and unmet needs of those providing, supporting, and receiving care. We use that understanding to lead cross-functional, participatory co-design experiences that generate concepts, experiences, tools, delivery models, and care paths that are transformative, looking three to five years into the future. This role will propel our Experience Strategy and Research + Design Practice forward by enhancing ways of working, portfolio maintenance, and DesignOps at scale.

The incumbent will be comfortable with ambiguity and seek to foster alignment and collaboration with Research and Design Owners, Business Stakeholders, Portfolio Leads, and matrixed teams—translating goals, defining timelines, seeking feedback, and articulating insights into actions that push the delivery of experience and solution designs forward. Will work with deep commitment to enable our teams to design the right experiences, products, and experiences for our customers and clinicians. The candidate will have experience driving and participating in end-to-end human-centered programs and projects with capabilities in discovery, problem framing, articulating insights and opportunity areas, concept development, and prototyping.

This job will be an active influencer, collaborator, and co-creator with Strategists, Researchers, Designers, Design Owners, matrixed teams, and experts. Will plan and orchestrate the team's path to key deliverables, but also actively apply creative thinking and lead design methods that move the Experience Strategy, Research + Design Practice portfolio delivery forward. The incumbent will help create an environment and culture where research and design teams can show up at their best and thrive. The incumbent will also be key in developing relationships and facilitating collaborative sessions and reviews with stakeholders to ensure solution designs are properly vetted and accepted on the path to solution pilots.

This individual will help develop project charters, plans, and timelines with strategists and stakeholder groups. Manage the inter-dependencies between a group of projects and/or related activities within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget while proactively communicating status and potential risks or barriers. Manage the grooming of specific portfolios and facilitate prioritization and trade-off discussions. Will coordinate with strategists on research plans and recruiting needs through internal means and external vendors. Will help oversee portfolio maintenance and the evolution of processes and tools that will elevate and ensure research and design craft and to help the practice focus on design and research efforts and work top of license. This candidate will be a key partner in helping the Experience Strategy and Research + Design Practice operate at scale.
