Aventure Staffing Machinist in Algona, Iowa
Payrate is Dependent on Experience, Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM, Temp-to-Hire Opportunity!
An established manufacturing company located in Algona, IA is looking for dependable, detail oriented and skilled Machinists to join their team! The Machinist position will work Monday-Friday, 6AM to 2:30PM and pays a competitive wage that is dependent on experience! Those with prior CNC experience and/or related education are encouraged to apply!
Machinist Responsibilities:
Operate machine tools such as lathes, mill, etc. in machine shop area to produce metal parts
Determine how automated equipment will cut
Comprehend and follow directions provided by supervisors
Read and understand electronic/written blueprints or specifications
Select proper tools and equipment for each job
Operate manual and computer-controlled machinery
Read parts list and determine work flow
Operate hand/power tools
Communicate with other team members effectively
Build fixtures or jigs as needed
Frequent quality checks / inspections of product
Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished
Assist co-workers and perform other tasks as assigned
Responsible for project coding and time tracking

To become a Machinist, you’ll need:
Must have regular, consistent attendance
Two-year certificate from a college or technical school; or
Three to six months of related experience; or equivalent combination of the two
Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hours
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75lbs frequently
Must be reliable and possess good communication skills
