William Hill, the leading race and sportsbook operator in the US, has partnered with Prairie Meadows in Altoona to bring legal sports betting to the Hawkeye State! Reporting to the Sportsbook Manager, you will be the face of our sportsbook operations. By providing a high level of customer service, to both regulars and “novice bettors”, you will ensure everyone is made to feel welcome. As an expert in our menu of sports betting options, you will help to advise and answer customer questions to help them make an informed, responsible decision with their sports wagering.

What You Will Do…

• Provide a high level of customer service to anyone who comes into our sportsbooks

• Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission

• Answer all customer questions to the best of your knowledge

• Work to resolve customer disputes/complaints and escalate to direct supervisor when needed

• Communicate and promote our menu of sports betting options to customers

• Act in a professional manner, representing William Hill with the highest of standards

• Ensure that all necessary paperwork/documentation is filled out accordingly to company policy and Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission standards

• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need…

• The ability to sit/stand for extended periods at a time

• Must have basic computer knowledge (Email, MS Excel, internet, etc.)

• H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check

• Able to obtain a gaming license from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission

• Must have 1+ years of cash handling experience

• High level of customer service

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred

• Present yourself in a professional manner

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to do simple math
