Job Description:

The Facilities Planning and Management department at Iowa State University is seeking applicants for a Locksmith who will apply knowledge and skills to develop and maintain master key systems for the university. This position will be responsible for changing, repairing, and installing locks and cylinders on a variety of different buildings, office equipment, and vehicles. This position will collaborate with the Building Security Services team to fill key orders, locate and cut keys, and maintain key records in FAMIS database. The successful candidate must have experience in the locksmith trade with a mechanical aptitude and ability to learn.

This position requires an FBI Background check. The successful candidate must undergo and maintain a favorable background investigation and Federal Select Agent Program Security Risk Assessment.

Hours: Regularly Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Will be required to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
