Production Operations Technician Requisition ID: 17424 Job Location(s): Ames, US Job Description We haveimmediate opportunitiesfor a Weekend Warrior Production Operations Technician to join us at our diverse team in Ames Iowa. The Weekend WarriorProduction Operations Technician will be responsible for the assembly process in an assembly cell from set-up to testing. The hours on this position are Friday-Sunday (6am-6pm).Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.Monitors and trouble shoots electrical and mechanical equipment used in the assembly process to build hydrostatic pumps, motors and componentsProvide line support for the assembly cell and is the next level of escalation after the cell expert for manufacturing issues related to safety and process qualityAssist in the daily activities of implementing process changes and problem solving on the shop floorAssists in the prove-out of new processes and process changes by gathering data, making observations about the process, and communicating ideas to improve resultsWorks closely with the Process EngineerBackground and Skills The ideal candidate possesses these skills.Minimum of an AA degree or equivalent from Technical School and 6 months related experience on Danfoss productsDesire for 4-year degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mfg. Engineering or ME/AgEMechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processesWorking knowledge of quality/problem solving tools (PPAP, Capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge RandR, 4-Step, 8D, Fishbone)Computer skills, (Microsoft Office, PLC, test stand)Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematicsFamiliarity with TPM and SMED techniquesCustomer Service mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure are necessary traitsOutstanding safety record and approach to behavioral based safety using proper PPE are requirementsDanfoss - Engineering Tomorrow At Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to use resources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation of tomorrow.
