Position Title:Wellbeing Program Specialist

Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:Degree in Health Promotion, Community Health, Worksite Well-being, Learning & Development and/or related field

Experience coordinating employee well-being programs

Experience that demonstrates explaining well-being service to employees

Experience with facilitating or leading employee groups

Experience with Microsoft Office; specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Coaching certification

Job Description:

Summary Provides well-being opportunities and education through programming leadership, delivery, consultation, technical assistance, and support. Example of Duties

  • Offers comprehensive and complex programming to support long-term changes in well-being.

  • Functions as an effective educator using innovative and creative approaches.

  • Establishes, organizes, and facilitates networks and coalitions at the local and area level to build community capacity.

  • Consults with departments regarding well-being programs.

  • Gathers data and participates in the analysis of employee well-being issues and trends.

  • Answers questions regarding Adventure 2 eligibility, plan design, and other matters related to the well-being program.

  • Communicate and interact with well-being vendors as well as health plan providers.

  • Organizes and prepares materials for meetings, events, programs, workshops, and speaking engagements.

  • Administers the ISU Wellbeing website. Updates key information and program details as needed and is involved in all aspects of well-being and Adventure 2 program communications.

  • Maintains program data and outcomes for ISU Wellbeing reports and metrics.

Level Guidelines• Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals• Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems• Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests• May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff• May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity• Provides guidance to students
