Accountemps is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team for a contract opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities

• An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

• Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Other projects as necessary

• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

  Requirements - Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

• Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Ability to work well with functional department managers

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics experience highly desired

• General familiarity with billing

• Deep understanding of Journal Entry Preparation

• Foundational knowledge in general ledger

• Journal Entry experience

• Solid understanding of journal entries

• Adeptness in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Practical knowledge of month end closings

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired

• Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

• A candidate with financial reporting systems proficiency will be the best fit for this position

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
