Performance Pipe, A Division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., LP., an injection molding manufacturer of polyethylene pipe fittings, located in Bloomfield, IA is seeking a full-time employee for a 2nd shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm) Maintenance position.
Available position requires the ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment. The plant operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Overtime may be required which includes weekends. Applicants must be 18 years or older, high school education or GED is required in addition to a valid driver’s license.
We are looking for a detail oriented candidate who has a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following work place/plant safety practices and procedures. Experience in a manufacturing environment-injection molding process experience a plus.

A minimum education of High School education or GED
Must have either 2 years of technical training or a minimum of 5 years maintenance position experience in an industrial environment
Must be well organized in handling a variety of tasks
Must have the ability to work overtime as required
Must have the ability to stand/walk throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs
Candidate must have basic computer skills and possess a good understanding in math
Must be able to use measuring equipment and gauges typically required by a Maintenance Technician
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment
Must have the ability to read and understand drawings, prints and schematics
Must be able to perform welding and cutting tasks
Must understand and have the ability to work safely with electricity up to and including 480 volts
Experience with computer-controlled equipment, PLC’s, HVAC and process water systems would be a plus
Must pass all MOBI requirements for forklifts and cranes and possess the ability to operate this equipment
Proficient in communicating in English language (both verbal and written)
Work in a safe manner
Keep safety as a core value thru teamwork and participation
Participate in daily safety routines (both as an individual and team member)
Must possess basic analytical skills
Must be a good communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Pre-employment and on-going testing include controlled substances, physical, background check, audiogram and vision.
Entry level pay rate is $19.16/hr with a shift differential of .38 per hour. Progressive increases start after a 120-day probationary period is reached and is successful. Wages are paid on a bi-weekly basis. Time and one-half (1.5) is paid for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) in one day and forty (40) in one week.
