We have an immediate opening in our Brooklyn Office for a Business Intelligence Analyst. The candidate will come into the company as a member of our IT department. This position will focus primarily as a liaison for the Business Intelligence area and as a resource supporting the company-wide needs and business objectives of Manatt's Inc. This person will oversee multiple systems and ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Develops, codes and tests queries and reports based on user specified criteria against various databases.

  • Creates and performs queries and reports on both ad hoc basis and according to predetermined schedules.

  • Develops the scope and design of reports by working closely with business units and project managers. Applies business knowledge and thorough understanding of database structure and Business Objects capabilities to filter and guide business user’s requests.

  • Works with the IT team and with other business divisions to ensure report design meshes with the company’s business intelligence capacity and needs. Determines whether requested data resides in the databases and recommends additions of data or new categorical variables to meet user needs.

  • Works with the IT team to facilitate updates to data extract programs to accommodate the population of data into the respective databases.

  • Partners with business users to implement business/functional design and to ensure quality report development that meet business/functional requirements.

  • Provide training to internal and external users on Business Objects application and provide help desk support for the Business Objects application. Work with business users to help them understand the data and structures contained within the IT systems. Assist users in designs that maximize optimum query performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field 3 year’s relevant experience

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with others

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to self-regulate workload and meet deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
