In addition, the Software Test Engineer will provide technical support for the field service department regarding quality issues and will use customer feedback in new product design activities along with improving and developing testing techniques and procedures.2018-12-10Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience) Tasks: Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: * As the Software Test Engineer, you will interpret customer specifications and drawings as they apply to switchgear / switchboard equipment and related products. * Provide Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (GE, Allen Bradley, Modicon, etc.) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) (GE) programming support to test team and perform final review of each project to ensure all sequences and failure modes are tested. * Provide support to the Test Team for configuration of protective relays, generator controllers, and communication devices (GE Multilin, SEL, Beckwidth, Basler, Woodward, SEL RTAC's, etc.) * Consult with management, production, and marketing staff to determine testing feasibility, and customer demand for delivery. * Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved. * Ensure compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented. * Promote technical excellence within Engineering test team through design /technical review participation, lessons learned awareness, and technical innovation / growth fostering. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or College. * Minimum of 3 years of experience with Auto Computer Aided Design (CAD), PLC and HMI systems ELIGIBITY REQUIREMENT: * ABB will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
