Deere & Company is seeking a Performance & Emissions Development Engineer in Cedar Falls, IA with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 3 years related experience. Prior experience must include: calibrate diesel engine with excellent understanding of engine aftertreatment system and vehicle specific application requirements (2 yrs exp); develop engine calibration in testcell for off-ambient conditions, i.e. cold ambient operating conditions and high altitude operation (2 yrs exp); support multi shift testcell operation in efficient manner with logical engine performance troubleshooting techniques and watch for data quality and expected results (2 yrs exp); utilize GT Power and Matlab MBC CAGE tools to reduce dependence on physical resources for project development (2 yrs exp). 10% travel required.
