Trinity Health Maintenance Mechanic (Full-Time/1st Shift) in Cedar Falls, Iowa

Description:

Performs preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems in the health system. Works according to diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and manufacturer’s specifications. Patrols buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Adheres to MercyOne performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.

What you will Do:

  • Performs preventative maintenance on facility equipment.

  • Performs routine repair work.

  • Operates and maintains boiler room.

  • Demonstrates competency of building systems.

  • Patrols buidlings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.

  • Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.

*Hours/Schedule: *

80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)

*Minimum Qualifications: *    

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Basic Skill Set

  • 0-2 years experience in an institutional environment

  • Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties.
