Local company looking for a painter. Will use electrostatic spray system to paint piece parts and phosphatizing washdown system to clean and prep parts for paint. Completes daily housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean work area.Essential duties include:Excellent attendance.Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Keep work area clean, work in safe manner and comply with plant safety rules and regulations at all times.Must meet or exceed performance metrics and have an understanding of manufacturing standards including efficiency, production, and direct labor in order to perform the job. Complete scheduled work and tasks within time allotted.Able to maintain an appropriate production schedule.Work in fast paced work environment. Will be required to work both independently and interactively and meet multiple deadlines.Inspects all individual work pieces and assemblies for quality in regards to form and cosmetics. Must have great attention to detail. Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and work environment.Responsible for following lockout/tagout procedure.Acquires appropriate knowledge of chemicals, chemical use and chemical maintenance as related to automated or manual wash systems.Follows maintenance procedures as required for all equipment in paint which includes but is not limited to maintaining correct chemical balances, wash systems, oven, paint booth, and paint guns.Participate in OSHA training and other safety training.Perform work within labor standards for job assignments.Follow established procedures for accurate inventory control. Accurately counts completed parts and identifies correctly with required inventory stickers.Operates computer system in relation to shop order and time card data entry.Reads and follows shop order and paint schedule and/or receives instructions from supervisor regarding painting.Inspects surfaces to prepare for painting.Selects premixed paints or mixes required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors.Sprays work pieces uniformly with the proper amount of paint. Inspects mill thickness on parts on a regular basis. Inspects painted parts for runs, sags, and unpainted areas and cure as parts are being unloaded off of the paint line.Test painted parts reqularly to verify paint cure.Clean and troubleshoots entire paint system to assure proper performance of equipment.Delivers and puts away painted parts in their appropriate primary bin locations and not in aisles or other open areas. One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
