The Mission Systems Capture Center seeks a Capture Manager to be a key member of our Pursuit and Order Capture (P/OC) efforts. The Capture Manager will work closely with Pursuit Teams and facilitate the development of a capture plan for Collins Aerospace’s efforts in pursuit of new opportunities. This individual will also work closely with members of the Capture Center in addition with other Capture Team members. The Capture Manager must have good team building skills, good communication skills, as well as understanding of the P/OC process. Background in the Shipley proposal process is strongly desired. The Capture Center is composed of capture managers, proposal managers, and graphic designers; together this organization is responsible for flawlessly leading teams through the P/OC process to win business.
Thorough understanding of the business development life-cycle and hands-on experience working within the pursuit and order capture process in support of major/strategic pursuits
Proven skills strategy development, organizational skills and communications
Results-driven leader with a record of motivating and energizing teams to successfully accomplish organizational goals
Drive the capture team at each step in the pursuit and order capture process to apply critical thinking in the development of customer most important requirements, strategies, themes, discriminators, and other proposal materials.
Challenge the capture team when they are off-course; drive and ensure the necessary course corrections are implemented at the team and individual level to avoid re-work.
Coach the capture team on the capture process and facilitate price to win, blue teams, and interim reviews efforts.
Conduct frequent in-process pursuit reviews for responsiveness, compliance, argument coherence, and claim substantiation and coach authors with structured feedback to drive improvements.
Drive the development of best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve the pursuit and order capture process.
Coordinate with other Capture Center of Excellence departments (i.e., Competitive Intelligence, Proposal Managers Infrastructure, Training) and administrative staff to ensure complete capture plan flows into the development of winning proposals.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, preferably technical, or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience.
Minimal travel to support pursuit efforts in various locations is required
Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required
Knowledge of government proposals and contracting is desired
