The PC Technician Role is a short-term temporary opportunity and will be located in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa region.

What you get to do every day

• Own and complete technology implementation projects

• Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site

• Manage inventory of equipment, including collaborating on potential purchases

• Retain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and solutions or installations

• Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

• Help test functionality and support end users

• Ensure that ticket submitters receive frequent and effective communication

• Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records

• Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues

• Own imaging and preparation of new computers

• Oversee data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix

• Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date

• Provide computer hardware support for PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment, including diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, and refurbishments

Requirements

• 1 - 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

• CompTIA A+ certification obligatory

• No stranger to network design and implementation strategies

• Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

• MS Windows 10 experience

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

• Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
