Seeking a dynamic, creative and ambitious team leader to develop and drive the Collins Aerospace narrative through the company’s social media, media and brand journalism/web channels. As the head of Content Strategy and Reputation Management for Collins Aerospace, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive external communications strategy that drives a clear understanding of Collins Aerospace key strategic initiatives with our external stakeholders. In addition, you will be responsible for working alongside the Collins Aerospace Media, Marketing, External and Internal Communications leads to manage crisis communications activities for the company. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of External communications but involves working in harmony with leaders across the organization.
Play a lead role in advancing, managing, and protecting the company’s reputation and brand awareness through the creation and execution of a comprehensive Corporate Communications strategy that addresses communications priorities and maximizes media relations, social media and brand journalism.
Serve as an inspirational leader for the Social Media and Brand Journalism team to create campaigns that educate, engage, and inspire our employees, customers and key decision-makers around the great work of Collins Aerospace.
Work with the Collins Aerospace Creative Services team, as well as agencies to push the creativity envelope and develop compelling multi-media content that drives engagement.
Works closely with Marketing and Social Media leads to develop impactful paid and organic social media campaigns
Assure that content and social media strategies on brand and aligned with the priorities of Raytheon Technologies, the parent company of Collins Aerospace
Serves as primary contact for external crisis communications, including message development, serving as a key company spokesperson.
Demonstrates the value and effectiveness of External Communications by evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of communications programs, continuously refining them to optimize results through quantifiable metrics.
Counsels and develops staff for personal and professional advancement through career development, training, and other resources as identified and required.
Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate discipline and 12 years of relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience OR
In the absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is Required.
Must have crisis communications experience
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” Holder
Minimum of 7 years in people leadership roles with demonstrated ability to develop and nurture high-performance teams
Experience managing and directing digital communication channels
Experience in develop paid and organic social media marketing campaigns
Experience leading integrated initiatives in a globally diverse organization
Strong creative, visual, written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning ability
Executive presence with ability to inspire confidence in senior leaders
High degrees of success in collaboration, team building and leadership
