Job Description SummaryServes as a liaison between technology and operations business departments supporting project initiatives and system issue resolution. Performs analysis to identify business requirements for systems solutions and business processes. Coordinates and conducts user acceptance testing that ensures the reliability, accuracy and functionality of system changes and/or enhancements. Assists in documenting and analyzing requirements, information and data for multiple products and systems.
May lead/manage smaller projects that have no project manager, typically <1000 hour initiatives.
Conduct business process analysis and needs assessment in an effort to align solutions via IT or business processes, error handling and reporting.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, including but not limited to, defining test plans, creating and executing test cases, identifying expected results, analyzing system test results and troubleshooting defects.
Manage enhancement and production support tickets on behalf of business operations
Participate in various project or team meetings including peer reviews, test planning and requirements gathering.
Research system issues, as reported by the business unit, to identify and resolve root cause of the issue and prevent re- occurrence. In collaboration with appropriate resources, apply innovative approaches to implement solutions. May support other areas (e.g. IT, TMO, Finance) to resolve issues.
Communicate needs/issues to stakeholders involved in resolution, including project team, as applicable.
Maintain documentation for each project and may provide training to end users on new or modified software and products.
Execute initiatives for the Operations technical team related to areas of expertise.
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent experience.
Three years of experience in business analysis, testing or policy administration.
Knowledge of insurance or financial operations
Technical aptitude; analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication skills to collaborate with IT teams, business units and other stakeholders to identify needs and document requirements.
Project management experience.
Understanding of Agile.
In-depth understanding of business analysis and testing methodologies.
Occasional travel to meet with stakeholders.
