Cargill Senior Capital Project Engineer (Relocation Provided) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Capital Project Engineer will manage, plan, support, and where applicable, execute engineering deliverables for site capital projects at one Cargill's corn milling facilities. In this role, you will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering field.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan, design and estimate time and cost, overseeing construction, commissioning and start-up of structures, facilities, systems and components.

  • Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.

  • Design and improve manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects of $5M+ Construction management, commissioning and start-up experience

  • Experience with SAP
