As a Software Engineer in the Component Engineering department, part of the Supply Chain organization, you'll help drive efficiencies through automation by creating full stack web solutions using JavaScript, C#, API and MS SQL. These solutions are a core component in our initiative to create a more digital experience for our customers in Engineering, Operations and throughout our Supply Chain organization.

In the Software Engineer role, you’ll be a key contributor to the growth of our modern web application portfolio. Experience developing applications using design patterns and web services is required. Proficiency developing in an agile process and a solid knowledge of enterprise architecture is desired.

You will be working with the Lead Software Architect to develop and implement new software tools and the maintenance of existing tools. You will often produce estimated completion times and assists with identifying potential delays in the completion of the work. Communication with various other departments and teams to coordinate work and provide feedback in relation to the progress of work is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop enterprise ASP.NET MVC & Blazor web solutions throughout the full stack (UI, API and back-end).

  • Work with Product Managers, subject matter experts and end users to translate business needs into stories and tasks.

  • Accurately estimate project tasks and timelines.

  • Support new and existing code for our supported applications.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.

  • Participate as an engaged member of a self-organizing Agile development team.

  • Participate in Data mapping, Data conversion and Data Validation.

  • Develop/modify programs based on functional specifications, investigate and understand new technologies, code review and performance monitoring.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of development experience in ASP.NET MVC, C#, Razor, and REST APIs.

  • 2+ years of SQL Server experience and Entity Framework

  • 2+ years of experience with Javascript

  • 2+ years of experience with Bootstrap (HTML, CSS and JS)

  • 2+ years modern JavaScript UI framework (ReactJS, Angular, Vue, Knockout)Version Control System (SubVersion, GIT)

  • Third party controls (DevExpress/DevExtreme preferred).

  • Database MS SQL, Oracle

  • Microsoft Visual Studio

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Basic MS Windows Server administration

  • SQL Server Administration knowledge

  • SQL Server ETL/SSIS package creation, modification, debug

  • Experience with Microsoft Blazor

  • Experience with ASP.NET Core

  • ElasticSearch, SOLR, Lucene knowledge

  • Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
