Position Overview:

The Wash Plant Foreman will be responsible for leading a team to achieve scheduled production load out targets and coordinate tasks to ensure safety and compliance. The Wash Plant Foreman is a full time position, requires regular travel and overtime with occasional weekends through peak season. General Duties and Functions:

  • Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules and projects

  • Ensure equipment preventative maintenance is performed timely, thoroughly and correctly at all times

  • Teach, coach and work with team in a constructive manner

  • Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety and efficiency

  • Actively participate in any recommended or mandatory trainings

  • Make safety the main priority while working on equipment

  • Ensure all equipment in operation meets or exceeds all safety standards

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and management

  • Willingness to perform duties outside normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Organize and lead a team to achieve scheduled production load out targets and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance

  • Keep crusher and other associated areas clean and organized

  • Operate crusher machinery by operating computerized control panel

  • Works inside enclosed booth to oversee and look down upon the machinery and crushing process

  • Troubleshoot and communicate problems with ground crew

  • Assist with machine maintenance, repairs, unplug shovel off conveyors/screens, repair conveyor problems and grease moving machine parts

  • Perform crusher machinery set up and take down, which includes running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.

  • Operate heavy equipment/skid steer to move parts and materials if needed

  • Interact with department heads at Corporate Office to ensure proper reporting of payroll hours, staffing changes, crew and equipment movements, production tonnages, mechanical breakdowns and quality issues

  • Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the public at all times

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operation and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA

  • Cross-train with applicable positions

Position Requirements:

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen

  • Must be able to pass a drug test

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request

  • Loader experience

  • MSHA part 46 and 48 miner certification

  • Mechanical knowledge

  • High level of reasoning abilities (i.e. Meeting deadlines, Prioritize Company and customer needs, serve as a leader to both peers and direct reports)

  • Basic mathematical skills (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide)

  • Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Fabrication skills

  • License greater than a Class B CDL
