Kelly Services is hiring in Centerville, IA! We are seeking a Production Scheduler to join a local reputable client as a full time permanent employee.

o Analyze and create operating schedules that support maximizing machine and labor efficiency Creation and maintenance of production schedules to successfully meet customer demand

o Optimizing resources to minimizing machine changeovers

o Manage customer order expectations with the schedule and production floor operations

o Communicate daily with internal and external customers as to status of all open orders/jobs

o Manage finished goods availability and take into consideration potential production issues

o Ensure personnel, equipment, tools, materials and services are available as needed

o Work with internal personnel to coordinate schedules and establish priorities

o Prevent external customer service issues

o Determine when schedules cannot be met, including preparing back-up schedules

o Make or recommend revisions to planned production schedules as necessary

o Analyze issues and provide solutions, creative and logistical, to problems concerning production, shipments, shortages, changes and cancellation of orders.

o Manage the volume of work orders issued to the floor

o Ensure work orders are issued to the floor with both available raw stock and/or capacity available

o Utilize a combination of created and released work orders to manage the flow of work sent to production while maintaining a short-term finite schedule



o Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build trusted relationships

o Effective trouble shooting, problem solving, and organizational skills

o Ability to handle frequent interruptions, meet deadlines, and handle conflict effectively

o Demonstrated ability to organize resources and analyze alternatives to make effective decisions

o Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities

o Demonstration of thoroughness and attention to detail

o Bachelor-s degree in Business, Operations Management or a related field and 1-3 years of relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of education & relevant experience totaling 5-7 years

o Excellent computer skills in MS Office

o Advanced skills in Excel with the ability to create pivot tables and other complex functions
