POSITION SUMMARY

As a Packing Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing packing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will need a basic understanding of electricity and be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment. You will be responsible for product changeovers, lubricating equipment, and assisting with general mechanical troubleshooting. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements. Our maintenance work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

• Make mechanical and electrical repair on all plant packing equipment with minimal supervision

• Knowledge of all plant equipment and material flow through oral review and assessments

• Troubleshoot, provide repair, or replace any mechanical equipment

• Replace simple electrical devices, such as, motors, fuses, and switches

• Duties will include production changeovers, welding, layout, fabrication, and other duties as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ year maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, warehouse or military or related environment

Other

• Must be open to working nights and weekends

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $33.21 an hour for Maintenance C rate. The pay progression plan follows: Maintenance B $41.17, Maintenance A $43.16. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
