This Staff Accountant role's duties will require preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. To succeed in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every single day

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• Strong analytical capabilities and discernment

• ERP system experience

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Bank reconciliations experience

• Foundational knowledge in Enter Vendor Invoices

• Adeptness in Construction Accounting

• Strong familiarity with Vendors

• General familiarity with Managing Budgets

• Check Runs experience preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of Credit Card Reconciliation

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
