Danaher Corporation Sales Territory Analyst in Coralville, Iowa

Purpose Statement:

The Sales Territory Analyst is responsible for creating, developing, and owning all processes related to sales territory structure and seller compensation. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, communication, execution, analysis, and change management for all sales and incentive plans, performance reporting, and payouts.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor and analyze all aspects of the sales and incentive compensation programs to gauge the effectiveness of plan designs.

  • Develop requirements for compensation reports and dashboards for the global sales team

  • Evaluate reporting needs and develop appropriate metrics to monitor and gauge the effectiveness of the commission plan design.

  • Function as Subject Matter Expert and liaison to Sales Leadership to address commission and incentive related questions and inquiries.

  • Define and develop sales compensation support processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business.

  • Gather data from market-based compensation surveys and data analysis methods to assess results and market trends.

  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.

  • Prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.

  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales Leaders, Finance, and Operations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering or equivalent required; MBA or Masters preferred

Professional Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, People Analytics, Finance, Economics, Investment Banking, Financial Actuary, Sales Analytics or in a related industry required

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced Modeling: SQL and Excel modeling skills, knowledge in R preferred (statistical experience)

  • Logical Reasoning: Ability to solve problems by applying Econometrics (Mathematical, Statistical, and Computer Science thinking)

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Use creative thinking (and data) to systematically consider the end to end implications of problems and develop potential solutions.

  • Confidence: Acts confidently in uncertain circumstances, works effectively in ambiguous situations, ability to engage stakeholders up to EVP level in compensation principles and discussions.
