SCHEDULE: Full-time ; Monday through Friday (8:30 am 5:30 pm) Average of 40 hours per week
The Treasury Management Representative 1 serves as a relationship manager for commercial customers. This position is responsible for selling Treasury Management products and services to existing commercial customers. In addition to selling products and services, this position is responsible for maintaining and servicing current customer relationships
This position will perform new account openings and related responsibilities associated with the customer service functions of the Bank. The individual will gain knowledge of Treasury Management products and services in order to serve the customers of Hills Bank
Work with walk-in business traffic to know and understand the local businesses that utilize the branch.
Coordinate "business of the week or month" in branch.
Introduce individual scorecard goals and work with supervisor to meet goals focusing on Pipeline Opportunities, Pipeline Movement, New Accounts, and Dollars from New Accounts, New Relationships, Referrals, Net Deposit Growth and Treasury Management Services Sold.
Work with existing business and retail relationships focusing on growing, maintaining and enhancing relationships.
Manage an existing customer portfolio to appropriately evaluate risk.
Have in-depth knowledge of Treasury Management products and services.
Must be detail oriented.
Active involvement in bank and community events.
Sales Production and Business Development:
Ensure customer retention by maintaining and servicing customer accounts and following up with large deposits, large withdrawals and account closures.
Sell Treasury Management products and services.
Grow customer share-of-wallet relationship.
Learn to provide referrals and to collaborate with various departments; Commercial Lending, Mortgage Lending, Retail and Wealth Management.
Learn to seek referrals from current customers and various departments; Commercial Lending, Mortgage Lending, Retail and Wealth Management.
Manage personal portfolio of the largest, most profitable commercial and retail customers. Enhance the relationship with these customers throughout the year by personal visits, recognizing life events and inviting them to bank and community events.
Develop and implement a pre-call plan for new opportunities with calling partners.
Utilize the Bank's CRM system to document customer interactions and important information.
Achieve Treasury Management scorecard goals. The scorecard tracks results to ensure performance; including Pipeline Opportunities, Pipeline Movement, New Accounts, Dollars from New Accounts, New Relationships, Referrals, Net Deposit Growth and Treasury Management Services Sold.
Utilize 90 day plans to develop sales strategies and monitor results quarterly.
In weekly check-ins the focus will be on sales successes, strategies, pipeline movement, calls planned for next week, challenges or obstacles to overcome, review of pipeline, scorecards and 90 day plans
Participate in weekly Pipeline meetings to discuss calls focusing on successes, pipeline movement, new opportunities, strategies, bank and community events and actions items as a result of the meeting.
Active involvement in bank, branch, and community events.
Participate in business development activities; represent the Bank in professional associations, community organizations and local business groups. Promote the Bank's favorable image.
Active involvement in Treasury Management meetings.
Maintain favorable customer relations and cross-sell Bank products and services through needs identification thus ensuring the most positive and profitable relationship exists between the Bank and its customers.
This position will gather and analyze financial information received from existing customers or prospects to make the decision on the risk level related to the Treasury Management products and services. This process will involve ongoing communication with the Commercial team and Credit Underwriting team as necessary.
Must be able to follow the credit policies of the Bank.
Ability to review and understand assigned risk ratings to credit relationships.
Understand the risk and liability of domestic and international wire transfers.
Ability to provide decision making for the recommendation and assessment of risk and liability when approving customer ACH limits.
Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job-related seminars, conference and workshops.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
An Associate Degree or four-year college degree; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be willing to participate in community activities and events, which will include some evening and weekend hours.
Knowledge of Linn, Johnson or Washington County is required.
Valid driver's license.
