In this role, you will alsoevaluate and provide therapy, when appropriate, to identified youth and families with mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability needs.No matter your role at Boys Town, you help us change the future of America's youth.Responsibilities:Provides support and education to program staff and within the community. Provides consultation to direct care staff regarding cases and mental and behavioral health with youth and families. Supports and evaluates family-centered practice work for Family-Centered Services Specialists. Provides clinical consultation to Family-Centered Services Operations and participates in treatment team meetings for complex cases with mental and behavioral health needs. Participates in developing service planning strategies for youth and families. Provides clinical supervision and oversight of the clinical aspects of treatment services as approved and directed to meet contract requirements. Provides staff clear directions and priorities with equal emphasis on program quality, morale building, and teamwork. Develops and presents relevant training on mental health topics to staff and within the community as agreed upon by program leaders and external consumers. Provides training to staff on treatment services versus placement needs, clinical guidelines, and Medicaid regulations. Facilitates and leads clinical rounds. Identifies program, youth and family needs through both written and verbal communication. Assists in the development of program enhancements and effectively fosters these changes with staff and stakeholders. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with: staff, judicial branch, county attorney, GAL's, CASA, managed care entities and other case-specific and community stakeholders.Ensures agency and staff adherence to applicable federal guidelines, statutes, and Iowa Department of Human Services policies and procedures. Assists with special projects and assignments. Positions self and the organization to serve as a resource and advocate for children and families served by Boys Town. Provides assessment and therapy services to youth and families identified by contract. Provides specified assessment services to those youth and families identified by contract or deemed in the best interest of those served. Provides individual, group, and family therapy to those youth identified by contract. Assists in developing a comprehensive service and/or treatment plan for youth and families based on referral and displayed behavior. Completes all necessary documentation for internal and external reporting. Participates in selecting and communicating with contracted mental health providers. Required Qualifications:Master's Degree in a mental health field such as psychology, social work, or mental health counseling, from a fully accredited university. 2 years of related experience; experience working youth and families preferred. This position is available to provide crisis response and must be available to work non-traditional business hours including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.May be trained to become a certified Common Sense Parenting Instructor and as a certified instructor may be asked to conduct Common Sense Parenting (CSP) Courses at designated locations as assigned. Must provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of the job. Full licensure (LCSW, LMHP, LADC, LMFC, LMHC) or Registered Nurse with extensive mental health experience. Must be in good standing with the relevant Iowa Department of Public Health Licensing Board.Must possess the required license for the jurisdiction or state in which services are provided.Must me
