Job no: 494723This position is responsible for the promotion and upselling the company's pharmacy products and services in order to achieve profitable retention of accounts and meet customers needs to obtain cost-effective pharmacy benefits. This position will work with both internal and external stakeholders. This position will provide leadership and support to the Sales and Account Management team. You will work with multiple stakeholders internally and the PBM to develop strategies for sales and retention, financial offers and performance guarantees. You will act as SME for Pharmacy Benefit design, products, and programs. You will train internal teams and external customers on the benefits of our Pharmacy programs.What you'll do:Supports in the development and maintenance of a strategic business plan that fully reflects the customer's business objectives and how the company's solutions align to those objectives and specifically guides our operational, financial, network, clinical and relationship initiatives.Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accountsAssist Account Management ensuring revenue goals are met, cost of care and administrative expenses are managed and segment profit targets are achieved.Identifies products and services that bring solutions to the customer based on a thorough understanding of the customers strategic business goals and the business needs.Understands the customer's characteristics and goals. Demonstrates the ability to develop plans that assist retention of the employer group.Builds relationships and alliances with matrix partners, including the PBM.Coordinates with Legal and Product to understanding regulations and the implication to customer impact.Supports the account management team in the definition of customer reports and ensures coordination with the client.Acts as outward - facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact and large or complex accountsPrepares, review and conduct presentations of customer reports with meaningful analytics, trending and recommendations for program improvement based on findings.Supports up-sell and renewal activities.Develop and present key initiatives to leadership as it relates to pharmacy sales and retention strategies.Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs.Work closely with PBM and Underwriting to develop offers for sales and renewals and up - selling programsTo be considered for this position, you must have:Bachelor's degree in Business/Management or related field2-3 years of experience in the health-care industry (insurance or provider side)An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.Strong presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to describe complex content to customers clearly and persuasively.Experience in communicating effectively through verbal and electronic methods.The most qualified candidates will also have some or all of the following:Prior experience in business-to-business sales or account managementExperience with for a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) or a health plan (health insurance company)We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better workplace for our employees and a better product for our customers and members.Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans
