ProMedica Health System Resident Caregiver in Davenport, Iowa

HCR ManorCare provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, assisted living, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice care, home health care and rehabilitation therapy.

The Resident Caregiver assist residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan, including: personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction. As a Resident Caregiver, you are a member of the Wellness Team, led by the Wellness Director. We are excited to announce that our location is accepting applications for Temporary Nursing Aides. The company will pay you to receive your training as temporary nursing aide at our location. 

Temporary Nurse Aide (With Trained Staff) will perform:  

? Acknowledges patients? concerns and reports them to the nurse supervisor.

? Responds to any and all call lights timely. Provides care or refers to appropriate person.

? Provides privacy and maintains confidentiality.

? Performs duties in accordance with accepted standards of patient care.

? Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty.

? Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment.

? Explains procedures to residents before administering.

? Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled).

? Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents.

? Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied).

? Handles linens according to infection control guidelines.

? Assists residents with bowel and bladder functions.

? Assists residents in preparation for and transporting to appointments.

? Assists with lifting, positioning and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts,

etc., in keeping with specific resident safety needs.

? Assists residents in ambulation with or without self-help devices as instructed.
