Job Description

Subject to applicable law, this offer is contingent upon your successful completion of a pre-placement drug screen, satisfactory verification of your employment history, education, criminal history and background check results. Merck for Mothers ( MfM) is our Company's $500MM commitment to reduce maternal mortality globally. Working in partnership with leaders in the maternal health field, our company is committing our expertise, our employees and our financial resources to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3). The incumbent supports the activities of the Merck for Mothers team including responsibilities related to:

Execution of grant agreements to support country programs and Global Grants program:

  • Review proposal documents to ensure alignment with policies and procedures

  • Draft grant agreements based on project documents

  • Liaise with program partners to secure documents needed to finalize grant agreements

Implementation of country programs and Global Grants program:

  • Management of data collection processes to support program compliance requirements

  • Financial reconciliation and budget oversight for assigned agreements

Additional responsibilities, include:

  • Execution and management of consulting agreements for assigned projects

  • Support for meeting preparations, communications, and reporting: organize team meetings, develop agenda, write summaries;

  • Draft/review routine program reports; develop talking points, web site content and presentations

  • Maintain repository of information related to Merck for Mothers programs

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Candidates must have completed 2 yr of college education.

  • Candidates must have experience in public health, international development, public policy, or corporate responsibility.

  • Candidates must have excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.

  • Candidates must have exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and problem solving skills with a high degree of diplomacy and teamwork needed.

  • Candidates must be able to work collaboratively while also exercising independent, good judgment with limited supervision.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have B.S./B.A. Degree, MPH degree candidate strongly preferred
