Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's accounting department. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of accounts payable operations, excellent numerical skills, and proficiency in Sage 300.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable functions including invoice processing, payments, and month-end closing activities.

• Maintain vendor files and correspondence, reconciling vendor statements, researching and correcting discrepancies.

• Utilize Sage 300 to improve processes and maintain financial security by following internal controls.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

• Prepare and perform check runs.

• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and reconciliations.

• Participate in financial audits.

• Liaise with other departments to resolve payable-related issues.

  Requirements

-Accounts Payable (AP)- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.

• Proficiency in Sage 300 and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with general accounting procedures.

• Excellent understanding of payable functions, procurement, and financial planning.

• Strong numerical proficiency and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent data entry skills.

• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.

• University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
