Aston Carter Asset Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

Aston Carter is hiring an Asset Manager in Des Moines, IA. This position offers competitive pay with a top company in the area!

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the development and analysis of forward-looking financial elements of the assigned Real Estate communities, including but not limited to:

  • Distribution and capital call analysis

  • Prospective and retrospective investment returns and valuations

  • Reconciliations to underwriting/pro-forma.

  • Recapitalization/monetization/financing activities

  • Financial and investment reporting to key stakeholders and owners

  • Maintains a current understanding of the complete financial picture of each assigned community, including but not limited to:

  • Annual budget analysis

  • Multi-year projections

  • Preparation and presentation of regular investment reports to monitor and review risk profiles and forward-looking strategy for individual assets at bi-annual asset reviews.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field; MBA preferred.

  • The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the demonstrated ability to analyze and influence operational and financial performance. Previous commercial real estate or asset management experience is a plus.

  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in financial or data analysis and modeling, asset management, investments, or commercial real estate lending, development, or acquisitions.

  • Experience in the housing field is a plus.
