Aerotek Entry-Level Loan Servicing Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa

Now Hiring Entry-Level Mortgage Loan Specialists

This position is a great opportunity to jump-start your career in the mortgage industry! Candidates will be conducting research on current accounts to identify any missing areas to disclose to the customer in order to process the loan.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather customer and mortgage account information and conduct research associated with the account

  • Answer questions pertaining to all areas of loan servicing including payment research, taxes, insurance, loan modifications and assumptions, prepayments, payoffs, adjustable-rate loans, credit reporting, and lien perfection

  • Research and analyze problems in order to recommend solutions

  • Conduct periodic audits of files; may also coordinate property inspections, lien priority, and loan disbursements in accordance with loan documentation

  • May perform procedures related to advances and pay downs, funds wiring, and disbursement process

  • Handle payment processing, check disbursements, tax payments, imaging, and document management

  • Document work on internal programs and systems

  • Collaborate with government clerks offices and settlement auditors to obtain tax information via email and phone

Hours and WFH:

  • First shift, Monday through Friday

  • Opportunity for WFH after training!

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be very detail-oriented

• Ability to function within a team environment and use participatory decision-making required

• Must possess excellent verbal and communication skills

• Proven organizational and time management skills

• Proven accurate clerical skills

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent required

• Associate degree preferred

• 6+ months administrative, mortgage, or banking experience preferred
