We’re looking for an experienced Manager of People Analytics to join our people analytics function. Our team uncovers data-driven insights to better attract, develop, motivate, and retain Facebook’s most important asset – our people. As part of the Global Talent Selection team, you will serve as a strategic and consultative partner with Recruiting, HR, Business, and Product leadership through delivering research and best practice backed selection program design, development and implementation of solutions and recommendations on topics related to talent acquisition and hiring - including candidate experience, selection program design, development, and implementation, assessment design, development and implementation, assessment validation and program evaluation. You’ll also help develop and refine people processes and technology to make an exceptional workplace even better. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, and can effectively lead an assessment program design, development and implementation team, from both a technical and people leadership perspective. The ideal candidate will have both technical and applied experience guiding stakeholders with regard to the use, design, development and implementation of assessments, strong quantitative skills and experience leading a team of I/O psychologists. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and developing a high performing team, developing strengths of individual contributors, partnering across teams, strategic and tactical execution of a team roadmap, predictive analysis, research experience and knowledge of selection concepts and related I/O areas, and a good understanding of processes related to the inter-relationships of hiring programs.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead a team of I/O psychologists and people research scientists ensuring the team is productive, engaged, and thriving in their career

  2. Collaborate effectively with and mentor other team members

  3. Partner with Recruiting, HR, and FB leadership and team members to identify opportunities for selection research and best practices to drive scalable, strategic assessment decisions, programs and process developments

  4. Execute, guide, and/or support selection assessment and selection technology-oriented research

  5. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and clarify critical people, process and programmatic selection system issues and develop solutions to resolve

  6. Bring together Facebook-specific data and outside research to help leaders understand people and selection issues

  7. Communicate statistical analyses and results, along with implications, to technical and non-technical audiences

  8. Provide technical expertise to team members to guide assessment development and programmatic implementation design and statistical analyses

  9. Collaborate effectively with the Compliance and Employment Law team on a variety of sensitive projects

  10. Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and business issues

  11. Develop knowledge of recruiting and hiring processes and strategies at Facebook

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. PhD in Industrial/Organizational psychology

  2. 5+ years of internal or external consulting experience in assessment development, human resources, program evaluation, or a related field

  3. Experience managing a team of I/O consultants or researchers

  4. Psychometric assessment development experience

  5. Proficiency leveraging software tools such as SQL and Python to manage structured and unstructured data sets

  6. Experience managing and analyzing data using tools such as SPSS, R, or similar tools and experience troubleshooting others' analyses and code

  7. Experience communicating research findings to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge

  8. Openness to feedback and self awareness

  9. Coaching and people development skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years experience working internally within a medium to large organization with professional employees (e.g., high-tech, financial services, healthcare, biotech, etc.)

  2. Experience developing and leading the development and implementation of advanced psychometric assessments (e.g., structured interviews, simulations, machine learning based assessments)

  3. Experience developing and leading the development and implementation of scalable assessment programs

  4. Experience applying statistical methods such as linear and logistic regression, quasi-experimental research/causal inference techniques (e.g., propensity score matching, regression discontinuity), longitudinal analysis, or multilevel modeling

  5. Experience leading quantitative research in two or more of the following areas: assessment, choice/decision science, performance management, diversity, retention or program/training evaluation

  6. Experience managing team members who are not co-located
