Key responsibilities

The Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for providing implementation direction, strategy and architecture for modern cloud applications at existing customers. These customers are either building new applications or migrating existing applications to OCI. This position will be embedded onsite for extended periods with the customer.

Strong technology exposure is a must, blended with strong implementation skill. You will be a part of highly skilled cloud engineering team that blends proven experience and deep domain expertise to solve the hardest customer issues in the context of strategic implementations. The teams’ responsibilities include thoroughly understanding customers’ business requirements, leading the development and implementation of critical applications.

You will have an outstanding perspective based on technology trends and business drivers and contribute to key business decisions and customer engagement strategies and initiatives. They must develop a comprehensive strategy and get results by:

  • Engaging with key customer team members to help develop critical solutions based on industry standard processes.

  • Help Customers transform and evolve their business with OCI and modern application frameworks.

  • Use domain expertise and analyze industry trends to advise product roadmaps, build implementations designs and coordinate as needed for emerging products.

Preferred personal experience, characteristics and leadership skills

You will have demonstrated successful expertise with a cloud product technology company. You'll be technically adept, possessing a broad combination of skills and experiences reflecting the complexities of Oracle and Oracle’s customers. This role requires technical cloud domain expertise and the capability to influence critical and timely ground-breaking change for our customers.

The successful candidate:

  • Customer Facing Solution Architecture and Delivery experience with large highly scalable critical customer facing applications.

  • An experienced and credible technical authority with a deep enterprise cloud technical abilities.

  • A balance of strategic and tactical skills, with a high-level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought.

  • An outstanding communicator who can write, present, and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences and organizations.

  • Experience in the ability to lead a customer during ground-breaking change.

  • A consistent record to navigate and effectively collaborate with other groups and resources in large, sophisticated environments.

  • Fifteen years of industry experience, five or more years of relevant cloud experience, three of which being OCI.

  • Position is located in Seattle, WA; and will be expected to be onsite with customer.

Education

A Computer Science degree is helpful. An advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $137,900 to $232,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
