Principal New Business Case Coordinator in Des Moines, Iowa
As a New Business Case Coordinator, you’ll be consistently learning while having a rich variety in the work you do, which includes:
Working with our sales offices to install individual disability (DI) insurance for businesses.
Directing the processing of new business cases from initial receipt to final implementation for our distribution partners.
Facilitating information going back and forth between the sales office and the team to ensure all necessary documentation has been received each new case is installed accurately and timely.
Helping implement, guide and change new processes and procedures to align with the current business model.
Never worked with specialty benefit insurance before? Not to worry - we're here to help by providing 8-10 weeks of training on the products and processes to provide the best experience possible for our customers.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Ability to develop a broad understanding of insurance operations, products and concepts across all lines.
Strong computer skills, aptitude, and proficiency at keyboarding.
Potential to build positive relationships with diverse internal and external distribution channels, make quick judgements, and respond to difficult situations that requires tact and discretion.
Good decision-making when working on complex casework and making exceptions during new business processing.
Ability to prioritize work while maintaining service standards in the face of peak times, heavy workloads and with frequent interruptions.
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and multi-tasking skills in a fast paced, changing environment with high accuracy and within established turnaround times.
Effective team member and a positive influence within the organization.
