SOURCE HOV Print Operator in DES MOINES, Iowa
Summary Description: Under minimum supervision, responsible for monitoring, maintaining and executing jobs on a high volume printer or Docutech; operates multiple machines simultaneously.
Essential Job Functions
Loads cut sheet (reams) of paper and/or pre-printed forms
Operates multiple printers ensuring compliance with customer specifications
Performs print tests to ensure accuracy
Performs frequent quality checks during print process
Checks quality output of less senior team members
Completes assigned work using documented processes to ensure customer satisfaction
Notifies supervisor of equipment failure or problems
Troubleshoots and clears material jams and other obstacles promptly
Completes all job tracking paperwork and/or input work data into systems
Recommends process improvements and implements at supervisor's discretion
Trains new staff members
Follows the security and privacy policies, standards and guidelines in order to protect the informational assets of both the company and their customers
Marginal Job Functions
Performs cleaning and maintenance to equipment
Loads continuous (roll) paper
Contacts equipment vendor for maintenance if required
Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to maintain optimum machine usage
Maintains supply inventory
Familiarity with all equipment and jobs in department
Maintains appropriate housekeeping in work area
Assists with achieving safety objectives
Performs other duties as required
Qualifications for Position
H.S. diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write and speak English
Previous experience in print operations required
