Proposal Director –
Work Location – Anywhere in the US
Leads the responses to single, high dollar or complex federal Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or for multiple simultaneous Requests for Information (RFIs),concept papers, or other federal submissions. . Leads the proposal process and manages the cross-functional resources to complete the submission(s) . Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
Involved in all aspects of proposal development as the overall leader of a single bid (or multiple RFIs)
Assembles internal and external subject matter experts and team to handle the overall submission, ensuring compliance with all RFP requirements.
With the Director of Proposal Writing and Messaging, builds the writing team and ensures writing and graphic integrity and quality.
Develops bid strategy with operations and business development teams.
Validates and tests the business solution proposed against RFP requirements.
Directs all proposal and Q&A responses.
Leads the activities of team and contracted staff performing related functions on individuals bids.
Develops processes and infrastructure to support submission of bids.
Develops win strategies and final proposal submission after reviews.
Leads the lessons learned activities for each proposal submitted.
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 10 years of proposal related experience; in-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Process (FAP); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Proven win rate with large complex bid responses. MBA preferred. APMP Foundation certification or equivalent professional certifications preferred.
