Tracking Code38142 Job DescriptionShipping ClerkResponsibilities:-Reconcile previous day jobs shipped-Create packing records and bill of ladings, etc-Works with shipping lead and other team members to meet all daily deadlines-Performs manual and clerical duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples, components and finished -products delivered primarily through FedEx, UPS, USPS or other similar carrier-Utilizes small hand tools and operate scales, metering machines, and shrink-wrapper and primarily uses hand trucks to move around material-Checks goods against shipping documents and authorizations, packs goods for shipment according to specifications, prepares bill of ladings, posts weights and shipping charges and attaches information and shipping instructions on boxes-Performs activities related to the receiving of materials such as unpacking of goods; checking against bill of lading, packing slips, etc, identification and quantity; maintaining records of goods received, rejects damaged, excess of misdirected goods, routes material to other destinationsQualifications / Requirements:-Must have strong communication and computer skills-Must work well in a high stress, fast paced environment-Must have strong record keeping and documentation skills to assure that all required documentation is completed for all shipments-Some understanding of logistics and shipping experience-Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects and deadlines-Must be able to work in a team environment-Ability to read, understand and carry out written instruction-Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions-Must be able to work overtime and weekends when neededJob LocationDes Moines, Iowa, United StatesPosition TypeFull-Time/RegularSalary13.80 - USDEmployee Referral Bonus eligibleNoRR Donnelley is an EEO/AA including Vets and Disabled Employer RR Donnelley is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
