Principal Sr. Sales & Marketing Strategist in Des Moines, Iowa
This newly crafted role is responsible for providing a customized and personalized sales experience for Institutional Retirement clients in the large market. You will work to build best in class positioning tools and resources that improve the sales experience and enable the sales team to win more business. You will partner with Product, Customer Care, Marketing, and others to ensure alignment to the broader organization and consistency in messaging across all mediums.
Specific responsibilities include:
Crafts compelling and memorable content such as talk tracks, positioning statements, and messaging.
Builds tools, user standard methodologies and other resources for sales and service team members to demonstrate in Institutional client/prospect meetings.
Partners with marketing and product on the rollout of products and services as well as crafting effective messaging and materials needed to drive new business and improve existing relationships.
Takes content from “blank page” to final by crafting content, gathering feedback, editing, and shepherding through review, design, and final risk and compliance approval processes.
Works cross-functionally within the Sales Activation and Engagement Strategy team to create customized and tailored content for prospects.
Collaborates with management in the communication and implementation of regional and/or corporate business/sales initiatives.

+ + Bachelor's degree or eight years of equivalent experience required.
5+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications experience in the financial services industry.
Recent Institutional retirement experience
Demonstrated experience successfully positioning retirement products for both internal and external audiences.
Experience leading end-to-end marketing, communication, and presentation creation process.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Experience effectively participating in significant line of business (LOB) or cross-LOB initiatives with demonstrated success in building partnerships, developing collaborative solutions, and driving results.
