In additional, this role will provide technical support to group representatives, agents, and other pension areas about potential plan/contract revisions. This is a client facing role providing consulting services for large, complex defined benefit plans to ensure plan design and funding vehicle match customer's needs.Additional responsibilities may include:Provide prompt and accurate technical, statutory, and regulatory information to educate customers with large, complex plans on plan design and compliance issues and contract services. Recommend alternate plan design, including defined contribution concepts. Participate in face-to-face meetings with customers, group representatives, and marketers.Coordinate the termination process for large, complex defined benefit plans while monitoring activities of several pension areas to assure process is completed within governmental and business unit deadlines. Ensure overall accuracy of plan termination information provided to customer.Recognize and research unusual and complex situations. Negotiate solutions to meet both customer and business unit goals. Provide prompt information and feedback to customers and management.Participate in the development of team members and business unit by providing technical support, contributing to and leading team meeting discussions, and assisting with the prioritization of work within the team.Review contract used by customer to ensure it meets customer needs.Prepare rewrite proposals and process rewrite information upon acceptance.Guide customers through complex plan mergers and spin-offs. Prepare appropriate actuarial calculations and governmental filing material for customer.Qualifications:Skills required:Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 8 years' experience.4+ years related work experience. (Client facing and experience working with Defined Benefit plans.)Experience working on DB plan terminations is preferred, but not required.Successful candidates will have the following:In-depth knowledge of pension plan and contract provisions, pension laws and regulations, pension products and actuarial concepts/theory.Excellent math skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills.Advanced PC and MS Office Excel experience.Must have ability to balance working independently with working in a team environment.Job Level:Willing to consider applicants at multiple job levels.Location:This position has multiple location options.Additional Information:What's next?
