POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Product Consultant creates and implements the strategy for a set of new Small Business and Consumer products and services with an emphasis on Credit Card. The role analyzes performance of existing strategies and suggests enhancements and new products/services. This position adds value throughout the product lifecycle and works with other cross-functional teams to implement new products and services or enhancements to existing products and services.PRIMARY & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads operational and compliance efforts of new products and services and enhancements to existing products and services in assigned areas.Directs Marketing/Sales Strategy for new product development including, pricing, campaigns/promotions, internal/external rollout, in-branch marketing, value proposition tracking, and training.Continually assesses product lines' abilities to meet market needs and business units' objectives, and develops or proposes product solutions where gaps exist.Oversees the development and maintenance of product disclosures and documentation for specific retail deposit products. Communicates and executes changes.Establishes market penetration goals for each product.Provides estimates of product profit potential.Translates business, market, and technical requirements into formal functional design and requirements documentation to support the implementation and marketing of new and enhanced products and services.Works with other cross-functional teams to implement changes on new products and services or enhancements to existing products and services.Leads Vendor Management, ensuring the company is realizing the best value and the providers are performing according to the agreements.Ensure strict compliance with all relevant sales practices, legal, compliance and regulatory standards and guidelines.Performs post launch monitoring of products to ensure Compliance monitoring accuracy.Assists in the creation of a comprehensive product and services strategic plan to guide Bank resource allocation and technology planning efforts.Assists in the development of new product launches with a cross-functional team.Develops and manages strategies to reduce or maintain deposit interest costs relative to achieving deposit growth goals.Creates and reports on key portfolio metrics as well as ad hoc reporting on portfolio trends.Ensure strict compliance with all relevant sales practices, legal, compliance and regulatoryParticipates in cross-functional projects that include Marketing, Compliance, Call Center, Operations, product vendors and other identified stakeholder departments to support the product lifecycle process for product launch and maintenance.Identifies, mitigates and monitors compliance and risk issues using current knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory standards and guidelines.Assess competitive landscape, industry trends and market demand with a focus on regulatory changes, competition, consumer trends and market research.Maintains relationship with HTLF Retail Sales Managers and other Retail stakeholders for integrating sales practices.Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.Ensures up-to-date product support documentation for key products.Familiar with regulations including, but not limited to: Regulation DD, Regulation Z, CARD Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Regulation B.SECONDARY & NONESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY R
