Aerotek Immediate Hiring For General Production Workers in Dyersville, Iowa

Roles and Responsibilities:

Candidates will be working in the truss department or wood panel department. They will be helping with building the wood trusses or the wood panels. They will count out the plates that hold together the truss, a laser will be shinning down on the trusses where they need to place the plates to be hammered into the wood. This candidate will be loading the boards onto the table where the truss or wood panel is being built, tacking the plates into the boards, and putting up the boards when they are done.

How you will spend your day as an Assembler:

Move precut lumber to work area by cart.

Lifting and laying out precut lumber (top, bottom chords) onto the build table.

Utilize Jig Sheets and Blueprint Specifications to make a completed truss.

Using Jig Blocks (removing and nailing to table).

Hammering in connector plates (Nail Plates).

Stack completed trusses (Rafters).

Unload, label and band the trusses.

Utilize hammers, saws, pneumatic nail and staple guns to connect parts.
