Dispatcher and Aggregate Sales position is available at our plant in Fort Dodge, IA. This position will provide support to our Asphalt Paving and Pavement Maintenance divisions through the coordination and scheduling of our internal fleet of dump trucks, as well as external trucks when required, to deliver asphalt and aggregate materials to our projects. When available, our dump trucks will be dispatched to for-hire projects in and around the Fort Dodge area. This position will also be responsible for aggregate sales and deliveries from our pit to customers and contractors. Seeking a highly organized, energetic, detail-oriented individual who enjoys interacting with staff and clients performing a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with Division Managers for trucking requirements daily

  • Communicate with dump truck drivers for scheduled deliveries and daily duties.

  • Dispatch and schedule dump trucks

  • Receive and schedule customer orders

  • Coordinate with the Shop Manager on preventative and non-scheduled maintenance for dump truck fleet

  • Work with team to monitor Driver Qualification Files, driver logs, and updating Encompass (JJ Keller) to verify all documentation

  • Review and approve driver timecards and logs

  • Cost Controls and data entry for aggregate sales including but not limited to entering and billing sales within the cost control system


  • Previous truck dispatching experience preferred

  • High level of detail orientation and multitask

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Able to work independently and interact with all levels of personnel
