At Community & Family Resources (CFR), our staff has the opportunity to provide support at many different levels to adults. Our teams at CFR consist of highly qualified and motivated staff that has a passion for working with people and specifically assisting those who have or have had a struggle with substance use and the disease of addiction. Many of the people we serve have also struggled with poor decision making, legal issues, homelessness, mental health disorders, health issues, financial issues, and family issues leaving them with minimal support. Our team at CFR works together to provide support and instill hope for the people we work with. We provide education regarding alternatives that are available and the hope of achieving a healthy and happy lifestyle. We are currently hiring for a RN or LPN for our Detox unit. This position is part-time overnights. Duties include: *Assist in completing the intake process *Complete all medical history and intake information *Prepare clients residing at CFR for a physical exam as soon as possible following admission *Ability to work in intense environment and perform a variety of important, complex tasks. *Provide services and complete Medical Orders for clients during each shift. Make rounds on each shift. *Chart all relevant information and passing it on to persons relieving the next shift. *To notify the Addiction Program Clinical Director or designee of the date of admission on any primary residential client who comes to the Unit via Substance Abuse Commitment procedures. *Administer and chart prescription and non-prescription medications per doctor's orders. Qualified candidates will have: *RN/LPN with a current valid Iowa License to practice nursing *Preference given to candidates with experience in substance abuse treatment services, counseling, and specialty areas relating to detoxification of clients *Ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication and team building skills, the ability to prepare clear and concise case records, meet the demands of an intense level of documentation, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality *Satisfactory background check and pre-employment drug screen required. *Valid driver's license and proof of insurance needed.
