Conductix-Wampfler Production Team Member - HeviBar - 2nd shift in Harlan, Iowa

Conductix-Wampfler a growing manufacturer and leader in the mobile electrification industry, is looking to add top talent to their manufacturing team. We are looking for team members who are self-directed, dependable and want to be an active part of continuous improvement.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Hand and power tool experience a plus

  • Have experience working in a team environment

  • Experience in machine operation a plus

  • Blueprint reading a plus

SUMMARY

Perform a variety of duties to do quality work from engineering blueprints, work order process sheets with written or verbal instructions to meet stock and sales orders for shipment. Production for compliance to company guidelines by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Required to do production, read a tape measure, dial calipers, micrometer, square, and protractor.

Work with machines, presses, production equipment, power, and hand tools to produce quality products.

Must follow established procedures, have general knowledge and know to identify standard and metric hardware sizes.

Must know how to use hand tools and be able to relate end wrench and socket sizes to bolt diameters.

Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to your supervisor.

Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Perform visual as well as physical inspection of the product, raw material, and purchased material to ensure quality work.

Duties involve selecting parts and materials with proper identification, and location in accordance of engineering blueprint work order process sheet.

Must involve accurate counting and identification of the material or parts to or from designated areas or work cells in a careful manner to prevent damage and injury.

Examining and having a thorough knowledge of engineering blueprint before a product or part can be made.

Required to take responsibility to make a final inspection of the first completed part or product made to ensure total quality before continuance of the work order process sheet.

Responsible for proper stacking of finished product with ensuring proper identification and location.

Exercise care to prevent injury to yourself, fellow employees, equipment, and material.

Operate floor controlled 2-ton overhead crane, transport, and position materials by following established procedures and safety rules.

Use chains, grabs, slings, and spreader bars to handle materials using care to prevent materials from slipping, dropping, or being damaged during the move.

Read and understand blueprints.

Must be able to work form blueprint, work orders, pick list, and verbal or written instructions to perform duties.

Responsible for reporting accurate time, quantity, and etc., on work order process sheets, and time cards.

Perform other related duties as required or directed.

Must be willing to strive for new ideas, improvements, and quality standards.

Maintains and sustains 5S within the department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
