SCHEDULE: Full-time; Monday through Friday (8:00 am 5:00 pm) average of 40 hours a week
The Loan Servicing Specialist will report directly to the Loan Servicing Supervisor with direction from the Loan Servicing Lead. The responsibilities and duties for this position consist of processing loan extensions/modifications, responding to customer and lender loan maintenance requests as well as processing payment corrections. The Loan Servicing Specialist will ensuring proper GL balancing and completion of daily loan reports as well as complete daily check back of new loans and troubleshooting errors affecting loans on the Core System. The Loan Servicing Specialist will retain up to date knowledge of state and federal bank regulations in regards to Servicing standards and facilitate credit reporting corrections for the bank's loan portfolio. The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for the payment of escrowed taxes as well as the processing and communication of the escrow analysis statements.
Loan Servicing: (80%)
Complete the processing of extensions and maintenance of current loans ensuring correct documentation, maintenance and retention.
Assist with the various loan GL reconciliations when necessary.
Complete the timely payment of property taxes out of loan escrow accounts.
Assist with general maintenance of escrow accounts and maintain administration duties of the Core processing system in relation to escrow set up.
Complete the daily check back of consumer loans, commercial loans, real estate loans, extensions and loan maintenance to comply with the bank's SOX standards.
Process escrow analysis statements and assist customers and lenders with questions regarding escrow payment and analysis.
Responsible for responding to and processing credit bureau correction requests and errors, communicating with lenders and customers and updating records when necessary.
Process monthly reconciliation of select accounts in Quickbooks.
Troubleshoot issues with loan statements and notices, working with third parties to ensure adherence with bank regulations.
Provide support services to loan officers and other staff in regards to loan servicing requests, providing excellent internal and external customer service.
Complete daily loan report reconciliation, correcting tickets/transactions that rejected the previous business day.
Responsible for the processing of year-end tax notifications and the ongoing servicing of those statements.
Assist in the development of manuals and supporting documentation to accomplish task/duties inherent in this position.
Core Processing: (15%)
Assist with maintenance and upgrades of the bank's core processing system (Silverlake).
Work with Jack Henry to troubleshoot errors and issues affecting loans in Silverlake.
Assist with the facilitation of third parties integration with Silverlake.
As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.
Will perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical training in loan documentation and compliance.
This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communications skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
