POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLARRequisition # 2654Position BasicsAdvertising Ends on:Extended Until Position is FilledAdvertising Started on:Tuesday, September 27th, 2016College:Carver College of MedicineDepartment:PsychiatrySalarySalary:$47,476.00 to CommensuratePosition DetailsFull/Part Time Status:Full TimePercent Time:100%Position Description:Postdoc Scholar in Behavioral EpigeneticsWe are currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with prior experience in substance use related research and statistics to join the laboratory of Dr. Rob Philibert MD PhD, professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa.The Philibert Laboratory is a world leader in substance use epigenetics and is affiliated with Behavioral Diagnostics LLC, an Iowa based Biotech company ( which holds the commercial rights for the use of DNA methylation technologies for the detection of various forms of substance use.The successful candidate will participate in efforts to understand the interactions between the biology and psychology of substance use in large cohorts of adolescents and young adults participating in a NIH funded study.
