As a global leader in Personal Protective Equipment, we are seeking a dynamic Utility Regional Sales Manager for our Midwest/South Central Utility territory. Individual must reside in the geographic region (Southern IL, MO, NE, IA, KS, CO, WY, OK & TX) and be willing to travel extensively within the region in support of overall Honeywell Salisbury objectives.
This candidate will manage a large dollar sales region and will be looked to by their customers for support in sales, marketing and customer service. We are looking for someone that can manage and expand this large territory and be an invaluable resource to our Utility distributors and end-user customers.
Travel- 50%- 70%
Create demand for Honeywell Electrical Safety products directly with end user customers through sales visits, training, demonstrations and also through joint sales calls with distribution
Manage distribution partner network for all targeted market segments; evaluate and monitor distribution performance
Manage third-party manufacturers’ representatives to optimize growth and profitability throughout assigned region
Develop new business opportunities for current and new products, in our key core markets
Evaluate offering against competition and recommend competitive differentiators, contributes to future product development and marketing strategies using voice of the customer feedback
Lead sales strategy for assigned segment. Specifies and validates value proposition
Acts as the product expert for the territory.
Complete sales and AOP responsibility for the defined territory.
Define and execute strategies/product training and education specific to application and compliance
Monitors strength and weakness of the value proposition, delivery and customer satisfaction, manages value proposition based on market intelligence.
Determine and communicate product demand and potential volumes through regular monthly forecasting
Participate in local and regional trade shows according to the marketing program
Works with sales and business leadership to establish pricing policies and regional specific strategic growth initiatives aimed at increasing sales revenue
YOU MUST HAVE
3+ years of Outside Sales experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and/or MBA
Experience in an industry serving the electrical utility, electrical safety, or industrial safety channels preferred
Ability to understand the customer needs, negotiate complex sales and total value offerings to customers.
Ability to define vision for the region, set high expectations and manage to expectations.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience with SFDC or similar CRM Tool
Results Oriented: A driver who possesses the ability to take action and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources into a single unified strategic intent and customer value proposition
Excellent understanding of business and organizational dynamics.
