[The Van Buren County Community School District has the following position open for the 2024-2025 school year: Anticipated SpecialEducationTeacher at the middle school/high school. [The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:]{open="" sans=""}]{open="" sans=""}

• Advocates for the individual needs ofstudents through a highly collaborative, team based approach.
• Implement IndividualizedEducationPlans and monitor the growth of individuals around specific learning goals
• Plans an intervention program that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment that encourages learning and overall skill development.
• Establishes clear expectations and procedures for each class.
• Meets regularly with families, students and staff teams for data analysis, MTSS initiatives and collaboration around individual students and the building-wide operations.
• Strives to maintain and improve professional certification through continuous learning.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in staff committees as required.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills.
• Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
